Glimpsing the Risen Christ.
April 27 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
DAY OF REFLECTION FOR MEN & WOMEN: We proclaim that Christ is indeed risen from the dead – not merely as a spirit, but in a body that his disciples could see and touch. He shares a meal, invites Thomas to place his finger in the wounds of his hands and side, and makes his presence known in tangible ways. However, some never see him. Most do not immediately recognize him when they do see him: Mary Magdalene mistakes him for a gardener, while the beloved disciple recognizes the Lord at once.
On this Day of Recollection, we will reflect on some of the encounters with the risen Christ found in Scripture, and explore some ways we, too, can be open to personally meeting the risen Christ today.
