Welcome to Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre in Pickering where countless visitors have found spiritual healing.
We are mostly known for our extensive list of weekend retreats, where retreatants come to deepen their understanding of their Christian faith and/or seek spiritual healing. Each retreat has its own theme and is presented by one of our experienced retreat masters. At each weekend retreat there is also an opportunity to have a sacred conversation with one of our spiritual directors, plus an opportunity, if desired, for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We also offer many 12-Step weekend retreats for members of Alcohol Anonymous, Al-Anon, etc.
We welcome, beside preached retreats, persons who like to visit us for an individual retreat which can range from an overnight visit to an Ignatian individual directed retreat which can take the shape of a three, eight, or a thirty-day Ignatian retreat.
Likewise, we welcome ecumenical groups and schools who create their own retreat program in conversation with our staff.
Manresa is situated on a beautiful twenty-one-acre property with access to several walking trails on conservation lands. We are a spiritual refuge conveniently located in the Greater Toronto Area.
Due to our aging facility, our dedicated staff and friends of Manresa have set out on a multiyear renewal program of our facilities to ensure that we continue to serve the Archdiocese of Toronto for many years to come, ensuring that future generations of retreatants also can be nourished at this oasis in the city.
