SUMMARY:Redeeming Emotions:  How to Understand\, Feel\, and Manage Them Properly.
DESCRIPTION:DAY OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN: Click on the Above Heading for More Information and Registration. \n\n\n\nAt their core\, emotions are human and good. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that “The passions are neither good nor bad in themselves. They are good when they contribute to a good action\, and they are evil in the opposite case.” … “They are natural components of human psychology which incline a person to act or not to act\, in view of what is perceived as good or evil.” \n\n\n\nLet’s explore together how they can propel us toward virtue and life in abundance. \n\n\n\nJoin us for this interactive workshop reflection day for women seeking greater emotional freedom\, healing\, and holiness. Together\, we’ll explore how to understand\, feel\, and manage our emotions in a healthy way—so we can live with greater peace\, purpose\, and authenticity. Emotional management begins with awareness\, acceptance and curiosity. \n\n\n\nYou will learn how to acknowledge your emotions\, process them\, and bring them under the rule of your intellect and will. We will teach you how to stop indulging in feelings that keep you stuck and unable to cope\, to choose emotions that lead to growth\, thriving\, and integration. \n\n\n\nCome away with enriching tools and best practices\, reflect and enjoy the lovely grounds\, connect\, share a meal\, and celebrate Mass through meaningful fellowship with other women of faith. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by: Veronica Lujbicic \n\n\n\n\n\nDOR-Veronica-Sept.20\,2025Download

SUMMARY:"On the Road Again."
DESCRIPTION:MEN & WOMEN SILENT RETREAT –   Psalm One tells us that Happy is the person who walks in the way of the Lord. Each day we are ON THE ROAD AGAIN – seeking that happiness as we seek to avoid the ‘path of the sinner’ (Ps.1) The Evil one obviously will put up roadblocks\, detours\, no U-turns\, forks in the road\, even no entry signs. In the Exodus from Egypt\, the Hebrews were led by God with a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire through the night. That same God walks with us day and night. \n\n\n\n‘Procedamus in Pace’ – Let us go forth in peace. \n\n\n\nThis 5-day retreat\, begins on Monday afternoon with dinner and ends with lunch on Friday. \n\n\n\nFr. Michael Coutts\, SJ will lead us each day with conferences\, Eucharistic Celebration\, and opportunities for individual spiritual direction with our retreat team. \n\n\n\n Facilitated by Fr. SUMMARY:Created with a Purpose for Mission: Explore and Uncover your Unique Call to Sanctity
DESCRIPTION:DAY OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN – No matter what stage of life you are at\, God has a beautiful plan for you! It is never too late to begin. “For I know the plans I have for you\, plans for welfare not for evil\, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) \n\n\n\nThis interactive and reflective workshop will help you gain insights about some possible options to explore for work\, volunteering\, vocational discernment\, a side gig\, or hobby that interests you. By reflecting on areas of giftedness\, passion\, and mission\, you will begin to discern practical ways to direct your yes and no towards activities and pursuits that align with God’s grace already active in your life. We will identify common themes that bring you joy\, meaning and well-being\, and you will start to see an intersection between what you are good at\, what you enjoy\, and what others need. \n\n\n\nGod’s plan for your life is both satisfying and sanctifying. As you begin this journey of excavation in living God’s plan for your life today\, you will find more hope and happiness and have a greater impact where you are called to serve. Join us and let’s explore together how you can start living for others doing what you love and are equipped for. Give yourself permission to be who God created you to be. \n\n\n\nPlease see flyer for information on registering for this retreat. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by:  Veronica Ljubicic \n\n\n\n\n\nDOR-Veronica-July5\,2025Download

SUMMARY:Obstacles to Discernment: Achieving Clarity Through the Gift of Reason
DESCRIPTION:DAY OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN – Are you ready to make more confident and informed decisions\, to learn a framework that you can apply to any challenge? Do you want to overcome confusion\, indecision\, overwhelm\, worry\, and hesitancy? “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that you may discern what is the will of God\, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2) \n\n\n\nIn this interactive and reflective workshop\, you will be led through The Reason Cycle. It is a meta-skill that can be applied to any problem. By learning this critical thinking skill through self-reflection\, repentance and meditative prayer\, you will grow in self-awareness\, grit\, and effective decision-making. You will be taught how to identify and set clear goals\, how your thoughts and emotions can be an obstacle to discernment\, how to start responding and stop reacting\, how to manage your mind and grow in emotional resilience\, and how to apply practical daily exercises to grow in virtue using the Metanoia Catholic Journal and Scripture. Come\, bring a friend\, and grow in perseverance with other women of faith who desire interior peace and freedom to make life-giving choices. \n\n\n\nPlease see flyer for information on registering for this retreat. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by:  Veronica Ljubicic \n\n\n\n\n\nDOR-Veronica-May3\,2025Download

SUMMARY:Election Day of Reflection. Political Discernment Rooted in Contemplative Disposition
DESCRIPTION:DAY OF REFLECTION FOR MEN & WOMEN – Manresa Retreat Centre’s April 2025 Day of Reflection takes place on the day of the much anticipated and talked about Canada Federal Election – April 28th. This is an election campaign that is considered one of the most consequential of our lifetimes as Canadians\, particularly in light of our relationship with our southern neighbour\, cost of living concerns\, and potential job losses. It is understandable if we desire to retreat from the intensity of these political concerns. \n\n\n\nWe can also take a time of retreat to better deepen our political discernment within the environment of prayer\, spiritual insight\, and deeper appreciate of Catholic Social Teaching. Our Election Day of Reflection can be seen as an opportunity for us to reflect and discern upon the essential relationship between a contemplative disposition – rooted in Gospel values – and political action in light of Ignatian insight and wisdom. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Fr. Trevor Scott\, SJ \n\n\n\n\n\nDOR-April28\,2025Fr.TrevorDownload

SUMMARY:Openness to Christ’ words: A Path of encounter and conversion.
DESCRIPTION:MEN & WOMEN IGNATIAN – Jesus’ encounter with the sick\, the Pharisees\, sinners\, and all other sorts of people is critical for the process of personal conversion and transformation. The disciples who followed the Messiah had encountered him and were transformed by his words and his deeds. They were able to respond to the call: “come\, follow me” (Matt. 4:19)\, because they first met him and opened their hearts to receive his words. Saint Paul had the same experience on the road to Damascus when the Risen Christ asked him: “Saul\, Saul\, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4). \n\n\n\nDuring this retreat\, we will focus on the Ignatian method of contemplation that suggests the use of our senses (SE 106)\, to contemplate together some of the significant moments of Jesus’ encounter with His audience and the healing and transformative process that followed as a result of these encounters. Fundamental to this\, is the role of the Holy Spirit that allows people to open their hearts to the Divine Grace which transforms\, restores and re-creates. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Fr. SUMMARY:The Wisdom of Henri Nouwen.
DESCRIPTION:MEN IGNATIAN RETREAT – Henri Nouwen was a Dutch-born Catholic priest\, a professor\, and a psychologist\, as well as a spiritual guide and writer. He wrote with great openness about faith\, spiritual development\, prayer\, and other aspects of our journeys with God. One of his greatest gifts was his ability to help people connect with their vulnerabilities in order to grow in trust and intimacy.   \n\n\n\nThis Lenten retreat will consider this and other common themes in Nouwen’s writing\, such as being the beloved of God\, giving and receiving forgiveness\, growing in hope\, and accepting one’s limitations. The focus will be on providing concrete ways to incorporate these ideas into our prayer lives. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Fr. Kevin Kelly\, SJ \n\n\n\n\n\nFlyer-Mar.14-16\,2025K.KellyDownload

SUMMARY:Who You Are is How you Relate and Pray: Discover and Embrace the Gifts of your Temperament
DESCRIPTION:DAY OF REFLECTION FOR WOMEN – Ever wonder why you think\, feel\, act\, and react the way you do? “Within the Catholic tradition\, temperament is defined as the pattern of inclinations and reactions that proceed from the physiological constitution of the individual.” (Aumann\, Spiritual Theology) We all have a nature that comes with some innate habits of thinking\, feeling\, speaking\, and behaving. This is defined by our temperaments; there are four: Choleric\, Sanguine\, Melancholic\, and Phlegmatic. Understanding your temperament can help you communicate and connect better\, improve your health and prayer life\, and allow you to show up as your best self by creating the conditions you need to thrive.    \n\n\n\nJoin us for this interactive and reflective workshop\, where you will learn the basics about temperaments\, gain insights on your primary and secondary temperament\, plus common contributions\, weaknesses\, triggers\, ideal conditions\, and motivators of each temperament\, and create a plan to make space for and claim your natural God-given gifts so you can aim them towards your greatest fulfillment and potential. To participate fully and get the most out of this experience\, please take this free temperaments quiz: https://www.temperamentquiz.com and bring the results to the day of retreat. Step away from the hustle of daily life\, be inspired\, nourished and encouraged\, and connect with other women of faith as you reflect on who you are and your unique design.   \n\n\n\nPlease see flyer for information on registering for this retreat. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by: Veronica Ljubicic \n\n\n\n\n\nDOR-Veronica-Mar.8\,2025(2)Download
