He used parables to respond to the disciples’ and apostles’ burning questions about the presence of God\, their lives with him and the crises they experienced ministering in his name. \n\n\n\nOn this retreat\, we will look at the ways that Jesus used parables to teach his disciples and us. How do the parables confront us a Church community with a different picture of God or a more inclusive social vision than they have cherished? How can they respond to some of our own burning questions about the presence of God in our lives\, about our own spirituality\, and the crises we face in trying to minister in the name of Jesus? How is our church a parable? How are our very lives parables?
